The refinement of the inlays and the use of the precious essences determine a high-value furnishing, which can be easily inserted into entrances, dining rooms and prestigious studios, ideal as a piece of furniture for telephone or desk use. Reproduced with the same characteristics of the original model dating back to the end of '700 in Maggiolini style, area between Piedmont and Lombardy. The original model is located in a private collection in the Accorsi museum -Ometto in Turin. Furniture that expresses at best the craftsmanship of true luxury furniture Made in Italy. The entire internal structure of the piece of furniture is made of solid lime wood, inlaid in all its parts with the exotic essence of bois de rose worked in herringbone the inlays of refined floral designs in maple, lemon (rare essence from the shades yellow) American walnut, ebony and Brazilian rosewood. The structure has a cylinder-shaped central body that rotates inward to reveal a "scarabattolo" with small drawers and document compartments. An extractable central table for reading use is embellished with a genuine cowhide lining with inlaid hot brocade in gold leaf, total of 9 drawers, the interiors of the drawers are in solid linden, worked with dovetail joints and solid base with "diamond" processing makes it more valuable and valuable to the piece of furniture. The cabinet is supported by 4 pin-shaped legs also inlaid with a herringbone pattern. The upper part of the cabinet has 3 drawers. Suggested with a polished stick finish, light walnut color, in this case the warm splendid veins of the exotic woods and the exclusive inlays, polished by hand with natural water based surfaces, shellac varnish stretched by brush, are put on top of it. finished in wick (22 steps Farsetti method, polishing processing in use in Venetian shops since the early seventeenth century). The handles are reproduced from the original model and reproduce the typical chiselling of the Maggiolini Louis XVI style furnishings, hand-made in solid brass cast on earth mold with the ancient lost wax technique.
